Easy and Fun DIY Projects for Your Bathroom

Summer season is right around the corner, now is the perfect time to get creative in the bathroom! From sprucing up your shower with new tiles and accessories to updating your outdated tile countertop. There are plenty of fun projects you can tackle on your own.

A fun way to make your bathroom look new is to update the flooring. One way to do that is to replace old tiles with newer 18mm NomorePly tiles that can also fit well with underfloor heating if that is an option you are considering. Or, you can use other materials like hardwood to give your bathroom a more regal look too. Alternatively, you can also DIY your own vanity station and brighten up the space with some mood lighting around the edges of your mirror.

However, if time is of the essence, or consistency of the flooring for that matter, then it’s advisable to seek the services of a handyman in Wyoming or wherever it is you live, to ensure the project gets completed promptly. Besides being able to get that marvellous-looking floor installed on time, you can also pick up on a lot of the correct installation techniques through mere observation. The point is, there are plenty of ways to liven up your bathroom; all you have to do is look at all your options and have a vision.

But before we get into the good stuff, we want to make some things clear. These DIY projects are meant to be easy and fun ways to give your bathroom a personal touch. This advice is not meant for getting your hands on any actual problems you might have in your bathroom. That is best left to the professionals. So if you’ve got something like a damaged water heater, maybe don’t try to replace it yourself; leave that job to a professional water heater installation service near you. It’s usually tricky work and not particularly fun to do by yourself. Now, with that out of the way, let’s get on to some fun DIY projects!

How To: Make a Shower Curtain

If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to add some personality to your bathroom, consider making a shower curtain! This project is easy to do and can be completed in just a few minutes. Here’s how to make one:

  1. Start by cutting out a piece of fabric that will fit around the shower enclosure. You’ll need enough fabric for two curtains, so make sure the dimensions are about right before starting.
  2. Next, measure the height and width of the enclosure. Use these measurements to draw a rough outline of the curtain on your fabric.
  3. Cut out your outline with scissors, then fold the fabric in half so that it forms a triangle. Press the fold down firmly with your hands.
  4. Sew along the folded edge using a straight stitch or zigzag stitch. Make sure that you backstitch at the beginning and end of each seam to ensure a strong seal.
  5. Finally, cut off any excess fabric around the edges of your curtain, then press them down again. Hang your curtain securely from hooks or nails attached to the wall surrounding your shower enclosure. Enjoy your new custom shower curtain!

How To: Make a Custom Faucet Cover

Making a custom faucet cover is a fun DIY project that you can do in your bathroom. All you need is some clear vinyl wrap, a drill, and some screws. Before we tell you how to do it though, make sure that your faucet is in proper working condition and leaking or on the verge of breaking off. If you see the damage, then better to get it fixed by a Plumber in Windsor, CO (or in your locality) before you decide to make a fun new cover for it. Now, with that out of the way, here’s how to do it:

  1. Start by measuring the circumference of the faucet’s handle. This will be the width of the vinyl wrap.
  2. Cut the vinyl wrap to this size with scissors or an exacto knife. Make sure that the edges are smooth so that they don’t snag on the faucet.
  3. Next, drill a hole in one corner of the wrap using the drill. This will be where you attach the screw later on.
  4. Take the screw and place it into the hole that you drilled earlier. Then, tighten it until it’s snugly fit.
  5. Finally, take one end of the wrap and loop it around the screw so that it forms a “handle”. Make sure that it’s tight enough so that water doesn’t leak out from under the cover while your shower is running!

How To: Make a Towel Rack

If you’re looking for a way to spruce up your bathroom, try making a towel rack! This project is simple and can be completed in just a few minutes. All you need is some wood boards, nails, and a drill.

  1. Start by measuring the length of the boards you’ll need and cutting them to that size. Make sure the boards are the same width too so that they fit snugly together when assembled.
  2. Nail each board into place at one end using a nail gun or hammer/nail. Be sure to use enough nails so that the rack is sturdy but not too tight that you want it to be able to hold towels easily.
  3. Now it’s time to assemble the rack! Start by placing one of the boards on top of the other, with the nailed end facing outwards. Then put the second board on top of that, positioning it so that its nailed end faces towards the first board. Finally, screw both boards together using a drill, and make sure to use plenty of screws so that it’s very sturdy.
